British Colombia on the west coast of Canada is an extremely popular boating and yachting location for local sailors and visiting boaters from many other places. Allied Tri/Shore Yacht sales is one of a host of yacht brokers in the province that will assist prospective boat buyers purchase the new yacht or their dreams. Besides the afore mentioned Allied Tri/Shore Yacht sales you can find more British Columbia yacht brokers through the British Columbia Yacht Brokers Association. The association has been in existence since 1991 and holds its member to a Code of Ethics. The BCYBA also offers a certification program through the Certified Professional Yacht Brokers Association. The Certification indicates a high level of professionalism for individual yacht brokers and salesmen.
The British Columbia Yacht Brokers Association has over 50 member yacht brokers. Their website has a comprehensive listing including website links and whether any of the brokers have CPYB certification as does Paul Shields of Allied Tri/Shore Yachts and quite a few others. If your are looking to purchase a new yacht, sailboat or power boat in British Columbia I would recommend starting with this list of brokers to find your dream boat. Many of the listed brokers also have experience in helping U.S. buyers handle the paperwork if purchasing and exporting yachts south of the Canadian border.
The Yacht Brokers Association also sponsors the Victoria Inner Harbor Floating Boat Show. The largest floating show in Canada will next be held April 29 until May 10, 2010. If you are in the market for a new boat and near northwest U.S. or southwest Canada it should be a great venue for boat looking and shopping.
