The SeaStreak yacht is actually a series of four identical catamarans named the SeaStreak Highlands, Wall Street, New Jersey, and New York, acting as high-speed ferries in the Metropolitan New York area.

Seastreak High-Speed Catamaran

Commonly known as yachts due to their high quality of comfort and craftsmanship, each of these four 141’ luxury double-hulled catamarans owned by SeaStreak features three decks with panoramic windows offering amazing New York skyline views.

Built by Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding of Somerset, MA, and powered by four Cummins KTA50M2 engines, the SeaStreak yacht maintains a service speed of 38 knots and a maximum speed of 42 knots.  Even though these luxurious yachts are capable of carrying 400 passengers each, everyone is kept comfortable with three restrooms, heated decks, along with indoor and outdoor seating.

The SeaStreak yacht series supplies fast passenger ferry services from New Jersey to Pier 11 and East 35th Street in Manhattan, the tiny Victorian town of Atlantic Highlands, notable Conners Highlands, the spectacular beaches of Sandy Hook, and historical Monmouth County.  SeaStreak conveniently docks near Citi Field, Yankee Stadium, and the Broadway Theater District, all of which are a ten minute walk away.

SeaStreak offers direct seasonal ferry service on the weekends to popular Martha’s Vineyard where you can explore the island to your heart’s content.  After arriving at Oak Bluffs, don’t miss the Gingerbread Cottages and the Flying Horses Carousel, a National Historic Landmark.  Other not to be missed island sightseeing includes Martha’s Vineyard Museum, five historical lighthouses, and any of the islands gorgeous beaches.

The SeaStreak yacht series are available for private charter rental to host your special event such as a wedding reception, theme party, or even a business meeting, and can provide entertainment, dining, and full bar service.
SeaStreak offers a cash bar on all ferry sailings providing beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, and pre-packaged snacks.  Passengers are welcome to bring their own food onboard, however, coolers are not allowed.   Friday ‘appe’ hours are available on select New York sailings where $4 beer and $5 wine/liquor is available.

Discounted rates onboard a SeaStreak yacht are available for children ages 5 to 12, while children under age 5 travel for free.  SeaStreak does not, however, offer a senior citizen discount.

Pets are allowed onboard SeaStreak yachts but only on the outdoor decks and must be on a secured lease; smaller dogs in carriers are allowed inside.  All service dogs are allowed onboard with complete access given.

New England Fast Ferry acquired SeaStreak yachts in March of 2008 and now operates as a subsidiary of that company.  New England Fast Ferry operates the M/V Whaling City Express and the M/V Martha’s Vineyard Express.  New England Fast Ferry is also the sister company to Interlake Steamship Company, Mormac Marine Group, and Moran Towing, one of the largest tug/barge services on the East Coast.
